Just when I thought I had something that looked like an airplane part, it’s time to take it all apart. Once I got everything apart, the reason became pretty clear. The plans have you deburr parts all along the way so I was a bit shocked to find little burrs everywhere. So I grabbed my little deburring tool and got to it.

Once everything was apart, I took a few minutes to separate the rudder stops and get them cleaned up, clecoed in place and match drilled. Pretty easy stuff.

I now have everything set out to be primed, but first I have to build a little priming booth to paint in. Oh – and figure out how to get the damn spray cap off the Harbor Freight HVLP gun so I can clean the thing.

Didn’t get video this time, you’ll just have to trust me 😂

Put it together. Take it Apart
